Since we began in 2010, Trans4M has worked to advance our vision of a complete transportation system for Michigan. We’ve made great strides in our work to pass the Regional Transit Authority legislation for Metro Detroit, encourage Complete Streets policy throughout the state, and spur conversation around the value of transit, nonmotorized use of roads and trails, and the expansion of Michigan’s railroad. As a coalition we have engaged legislators and the public in dialogue around transportation funding, state transportation projects and priorities, and road safety. Our Odyssey event has illuminated the need for a more connected public transportation system between Michigan’s major cities and our advocacy days have brought in advocates from around the state. In just a few short years our members have come together to achieve great things, and we continue to build on our successes to accomplish even more.
